We are not an “employment agency,” but we can be a great source for referrals!

Because PCS operates at the center of every business… payroll… we become aware of many situations where companies are “downsizing, rightsizing,” or just making changes in infrastructure, which often affect good employees.  And, let’s face it; in today’s economy it can be very difficult to find a new opportunity…even for the highest quality employee.

We also become aware of companies that are in need of good people!  So, let us help on both sides.  If you are downsizing in the areas of administration, finance, or payroll, tell us.  Provide us with some details, and your PCS contact will forward the information to others within our organization.  If you have a need in one of these areas, tell us.  Of course, we can’t always guarantee that we can help, but we can at least be another avenue of opportunity for companies and good employees!!

Our job at PCS is to bring value to our customers.  If that means helping you beyond just processing payroll, then we’re happy to be of service!

Please call me anytime if you have suggestions or thoughts about how we can help you and your company succeed.  My cell phone number is 763-567-8387.  I can be reached anytime.

Best wishes for a bright future!

Joe’s Jottings – August 2010

As I’ve said in my notes before, “you can’t do it alone.”  I know many of you who are our newer clients that have recently started your businesses have often thought, “How am I going to do this?”  It’s actually easy, once you realize that you can’t…and don’t need to…do it alone.  Those of you who have “been around,” know exactly what I mean!

On my recent vacation, I had a chance to reflect on what circumstances led up to my being recognized with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.  I realized that every step of the way, from the beginning, I was assisted in one way or the other by friends, family, past employees, past business associates, and in some unusual circumstances, by strangers.  Collectively, let’s call all of these folks “incidental helpers.”

True, there are “nay-sayers” out there.  And yet, most people WANT to see you succeed.  That’s why sports teams have cheering fans…the fans want to see the team succeed!!  Your incidental helpers can do more than cheer…their help can be direct; it can be financial, emotional, physical or strategic, through appropriate “introductions.”  It can be long term or short term, and from a lesser degree to a greater degree.

In the final analysis, my point is that we all need to rely on others to accomplish our goals, whether they be business or personal.  PCS’s goals are being achieved through the team efforts of our staff.

Whether personal or professional, I wish you the best success in achieving your goals through the help of your unique “incidental helpers!”

Joe ReillyFirst of all, thank you to all of our customers who have helped PCS become the only payroll service in Minnesota to be rated “A+” by the Better Business Bureau!  Although we’ve worked hard to achieve that recognition, we know it takes hard work on the part of our valued customers as well!

We’re also proud of another, more recent recognition… 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year, awarded last week by the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce.  Although the recognition was given to me as President, the award really belongs to our 40 employees, both staff members as well as management!!  Their hard work and dedication allow me to represent PCS in the business community, as well as the non-profit community.  Through my involvement in fund raising, board participation, as well as volunteering, PCS can “give back.”  It’s a common goal of the PCS staff to share our good fortune with others.  I’m proud to be one of the many conduits to achieve that goal.

If you have an opportunity to talk to a member of our staff, please be sure to congratulate them…their commitment keeps PCS on the leading edge of service and quality!

We appreciate your business!
